BYRE COTTAGE.  Sleeps 4.   

As its name suggests, Byre Cottage once formed part of the outbuildings of a dairy farm. In 2002 it was very tastefully converted into this high quality open plan country cottage containing everything you might need for your luxury holiday. 

Built on two levels Byre Cottage has beautiful polished wooden floors with wool scatter-rugs throughout and the interior design has been very thoughtfully completed. Having wheelchair access and with most accommodation being on the ground floor, this property is suitable for someone with a disability.  

On the Ground Floor there is an open-plan living room with two sofas and a wicker armchair, television with video, DVD player and radio, and a log effect electric fire. The kitchen has beautiful limed-oak units with feature lighting in Velux windows above. It is fully equipped with dishwasher, ceramic hob, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/drier & everything you might need during your stay. The dining area has an oak table and chairs. The ground floor bedroom has a double bed and antique bedroom furniture. The shower-room has a modern walk-in power shower. 

The Upper Floor is access by an open staircase leading to the gallery bedroom with its wonderful king-size oak sleigh bed. This room is tastefully furnished with reproduction furniture, and has a walk-in wardrobe.

A cot and a 'Z-Bed' are also available - please make enquiries at time of booking.

In common with our other properties, Byre House has fabulous views across the estuary of the River Dee as it flows through its wooded valley past Kirkcudbright into the Solway Firth at the Little Ross Island. The scenes change both with the ebb and flow of the tide, and with the turn of the seasons.

The cottage contains everything you will need for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday, including:

The owners Julianna and Paul Dixon, live close by and like to welcome all their guests personally. You will then be left to enjoy your relaxing holiday but we will be on hand if you need us.
